USS HOUSTON (Neptun's CHICAGO), is painted in painted worn Cavite Blue with upper Bridge and Mast prewar light Grey. HOUSTON lost about 40-50% Cavite Blue prior to being sunk. Last good photo of her leaving Darwin shows this. Cavite Blue White Ensign 5s and 250N mix which was glossy!  Needed to respray dull coat which then shriveled the White Ensign paint, so fine sanded that off and got the weathered look.
PERTH: Neptun model, catapult changed, large crane removed, fake funnel strips added. Ship is camouflaged on ONE side only, the Dark Grey could also be Black but decided to use the grey for some tone down, Walrus seaplane was on board so added.
Ocean is painted blue wood base, added painters clear jell, then dabbed white/grey for wake, etc. My first time at all of this so needs work compared to the experts but it looks fine.
