Attack on USS Langley! USS Langley AV-3, on her way to Tjilatjap at the south coast of Java on 27th.of February 1942. Escorted by two old four-stackers, USS Whipple and USS Edsall, she is transporting 32 Curtis P-40 fighters, embarked in Freemantle, Australia, as a Japanese recon-plane sighted her south of Java. Three hours later nine Japanese twin-engined naval bombers (G4M1 Betty) damaged her and finally she sank in the early afternoon. The original model is from USA Models, MSM004k. The P 40 deck load is from CAP Aero.
